Tighten the ICP. Stop looking for “Marketing Managers.” Look for “Marketing Managers at Seed Stage SaaS companies using HubSpot who just hired a VP of Sales.” The difference is specificitity.
Check the timing. Why them? Why now? Are they hiring? Did they just raise funds? Did they post about the specific problem you solve? If there is no trigger, there is no deal.
Write the email. Now, you only need three sentences because the relevance does the selling for you. You don’t need to persuade them they have a problem; you just need to show up when they are already feeling it.
When the targeting is perfect, the copy writes itself.
